First Aid for pets

Due to demand we are trialling a new first aid course which is perfect for anybody who has pets. The course will help you to deal with accidents with pets, how to calm them down and what to do until you can get your pet to the local vet clinic.

Course information

If your pet has an accident, knowing what to do and how to help could be invaluable as you get your pet to the local vet. It must be stressed that this course does not replace the need to see a vet, but it will work alongside and enable you to deal with an emergency whilst the pet is being transported to the local vet clinic.

Learning pet first aid is fun and informative and will give you the skills to deal with a pet emergency should it arise.

This course is ideal for pet owners or pet professionals. It covers the main first aid subjects for dogs and cats but this information is also suitable for most other animals. Understanding basic first aid for your pet will give you the skills to assist them and prevent them from getting worse before professional help is given by your vet.

Keeping our pets safe takes many important skills – including a knowledge of first aid in an emergency – this course provides a mixture of theory, discussion and practical tasks and covers the following topics.
