Our parks are currently open but some facilities are closedfind out about social distancing rules and temporary changes.

Coronavirus: volunteer sessions cancelled with immediate effect

It is with regret that we are cancelling all volunteer sessions with immediate effect. Our aim is to keep volunteers and staff safe and well, during the current time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope to welcome you back when we can to do so safely. We will be in contact when we resume our environmental volunteering sessions again.

Volunteering with us

If you would like to become a volunteer, you can register online. Please be aware that you will be asked to renew your membership when our new volunteering system is launched in March. You will be notified when you can register on the new system.

Existing members

Existing members who wish to re-register, please do so when the new system goes live in March. Please do not re-register using the link above, you will be informed when the new system is live and when you are able to register.

Educational institutions, corporate or community groups

If you are an educational institution, corporate or community group who would like to join us for an educational or group volunteering experience, please email to enquire.

Conservation volunteering
You can get involved in conservation and help preserve our parks for the future.
Land-based volunteering
We need volunteers to help protect against flooding and maintain our parks and cemeteries.
Water-based volunteering
We need volunteers to help maintain our canals and rivers, and keep our waterways clean and tidy
Neighbourhood volunteering
You can get involved in helping to keep your neighbourhood clean, tidy and safe.
Partnership volunteering
We want to help people who are passionate about their local environment form groups and organisations to help us maintain our parks and green spaces.


Who can get involved?

There are opportunities for anyone to get involved with, whether individuals, businesses, schools or other groups. All ages are welcome, however under 18s need prior arrangements. Children are welcome but every child under 18 years old must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.   

You can register to be a volunteer by completing our volunteer registration form.
