Concessionary travel for disabled people

If you live in Leicester and have a qualifying disability, you are entitled to a concessionary travel pass or an annual payment of £22 by bank transfer.

How do I apply?

You can download an application form for a travel pass at the bottom of the page. If you are a senior citizen with a disability and already have a pass, you can swap it for a disabled person's pass as it carries more benefits.

If you choose a pass

The pass can be used for free travel on buses between 9.30am and 11pm on weekdays, and all day at weekends and on bank holidays.

You are also entitled to free bus travel before 9.30am on weekdays, providing the journey begins in Leicester or elsewhere in Leicestershire.

The pass also entitles you to free train travel on journeys between Leicester and Leicestershire stations to Derby, Nottingham, Peterborough, Kettering or Nuneaton.

The pass is not valid on bus services outside England, coaches, trams or the London Underground.

If you choose to receive payment by bank transfer

You are entitled to a payment of £22 per year, from 1 April to 31 March.

What if my pass is lost or stolen?

If your pass is lost or stolen, you can call 0116 454 1000 or visit our customer service centre for a replacement.
