eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines
We now offer a wide range of downloadable digital media. These include eBooks and eAudiobooks for loan. We also have eMagazines which you can download and keep.
Our digital media will work on most mobile devices (a notable exception is the Amazon Kindle). eAudiobooks should work on any device that can play MP3 files.
Overdrive eBooks and eAudiobooks
Overdrive is easy to use with your library card and PIN, if you don’t have a library card or don’t know your PIN, please visit one of our libraries.
You can choose from an expanding range of fiction, non-fiction, teenage and children's eBooks and eAudiobooks and they are all free. Just browse our catalogue or search for a title, if you can’t find what you want, you can also ‘recommend’ a title to us and we will consider it for purchase.
- eBooks can be downloaded, read on a computer or transferred to a suitable eReader
- eAudiobooks can be downloaded, played on your computer or transferred to a device which plays MP3 files. (Please note that it is not possible to download eBooks or eAudiobooks using library computers).
- Libby is the Overdrive app, it is available from both main app stores and can be used on your mobile device for both eBooks and eAudiobooks.
