We will be reopening some of our libraries, find out about our reopening plans. Our youth centres remain closed.

New Parks Library

New Parks Library has books to borrow, free access to computers, self-service kiosks and information. It's free and easy to join.

Opening times

Monday 10am - 5pm
Tuesday 10am - 5pm
Wednesday 10am - 7pm
Thursday 10am - 5pm
Friday 10am - 5pm
Saturday 10am - 1pm
Sunday closed

Self-service facility

You can now do the following:

  • pay rent, council tax, fines and other council services using a debit card in the self-service kiosk
  • scan proofs to support applications for housing and housing benefit
  • use freephones to talk to our services including housing officers, housing benefit, housing options and council tax
  • use self-service computers to log on to our website and apply for services including:
    • housing
    • housing benefits
    • parking permits
    • blue badge
    • council tax.

Computers and internet

Accessibility

The library is all on one level and has a wide entrance, an induction loop and an accessible toilet. We also have a large text keyboard and track ball mouse.

For Children and Young People

  • Children's books for all ages, from babies to young adults
  • Toddler time every Thursday from 10am - 12 noon
  • Homework help on Wednesdays 3.30 – 6.30pm and Saturdays 10am – 1pm (term time)
  • Baby changing facilities
