The library has books to borrow, free access to computers, self-service facilities and information. It’s free to join so why not see what we have for you?

Opening times

Self-service facility

You can now do the following:

• pay rent, council tax, fines and other council services using a debit card in the self-service kiosk
• scan proofs to support applications for housing and housing benefit
• use freephones to talk to our services including housing officers, housing benefit, housing options and council tax
• use self-service computers to log on to our website and apply for services including:
  • housing
  • housing benefits
  • parking permits
  • blue badge
  • council tax.

Adult learning centre

The adult learning service offers a wide range of courses in our IT suite and learning room. We offer arts and crafts, IT skills, Maths and English as well as a job club.

Community room hire

Room hire is available for a small hourly charge. We offer community rooms with accessible toilet and a hall with stage for larger events. For further information please contact a member of staff at the Pork Pie or complete the online enquiry form.

Computers and internet

We offer a wide change of books and free access to computers and the internet. Our staff are happy to help with general enquiries and access to information.

Accessibility

The centre is all on the ground floor. There are wide entrance  to both the library and the hall. Both have an accessible toilet. We also have a large text keyboard and track ball mouse.

For Children and Young People

• Children's books for all ages, from babies to young adults
• Toddler Time every Tuesday from 11am - 1pm
• Homework help on Wednesdays  from 3.30 – 6.30pm (term time) 
• Baby changing facilities
