Housing and homelessness

We are the biggest landlord in Leicester, with around 22,000 homes across the city. Our vision statement is 'A decent home within the reach of every citizen in Leicester'.

We operate a priority system for people on the housing register in Leicester, meaning people with the greatest need get housing first. You can read more about this by downloading our housing allocation policy at the bottom of the page.

Our responsibilities

Our responsibilities include providing help for tenants, collecting rent and dealing with anti-social behaviour.

We deal with all the day-to-day repairs for our properties, including gas servicing and annual gas inspections, and also carry out large scale modernisation and improvement projects.

We also work with Tenants and Residents Associations (TARAs) across the city, making sure our services are designed to meet customers’ needs.

You can read about our tenancy strategy and tenancy policy, and read our tenants and leaseholders' annual report, by downloading the documents at the bottom of the page.
