Health checks

If you are aged between 40 and 74, not already being treated for a related condition and live in Leicester, you are eligible for a free health check.

It takes just 30 minutes and will assess your risk of developing heart disease, type two diabetes, kidney disease and stroke.

Why do I need a health check?

Anyone can develop heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease or have a stroke. The good news is that these conditions can often be prevented – even if you have a history of them in your family.

If you are 40-74 and live in Leicester, you will be invited for a health check by your GP. Even if you feel fine now, you should accept the invitation. You will be better prepared for the future and know how to improve your health and your quality of life.
