Craft apprenticeships
We run an apprenticeship scheme for craft trades, which covers plastering, carpentry, painting and decorating, bricklaying and plumbing.
When do we recruit?
Apprentices are recruited annually, and we usually advertise during April or May of each year, on our website. There are normally 15 vacancies each year, and the course lasts for two years.
We are actively seeking applications from men and women from ethnic minority groups. For information about free taster courses for women see our Women in Construction page on the left hand navigation.
How much will I earn?
The starting salary is £196.63 per week for under 18s, and £248.58 per week for people aged 18 and over.
Subject to passing all appropriate practical and written tests, apprentices then go on to earn the following:
- After 18 months: £17,714 per annum
