Clinical waste

Clinical waste items are only collected from individual households at the request of health trusts, health centres, doctors or district nurses.

Christmas and New Year changes

Clinical collections will not take place from 21 December 2020 until 1 January 2021. Any bookings will be deferred to the usual day on the week commencing 4 January 2021.

Sharps boxes

The sharps box collection service is available for patients who self treat at home. Sharps box can only be obtained by prescription through the NHS. 

Collection of boxes

We will collect a minimum of five boxes at a time. When you have the minimum number of boxes, please use the contact details at the bottom of this page to get in touch to arrange a collection date and clinical bag. Please ensure your bags are ready by 7am on collection day.

Cancelling a collection

If you need to cancel, or stop collections for a while, please let us know or ask your health centre/nurse to contact us.
