Reuse Furniture Bank Q&A
Questions and answers about the Reuse Furniture Bank service in Leicester.
What days / times am I able to call to make a donation?
You can call LRRN to make a donation from Monday to Saturday between 10am and 4pm. Your call will be allocated to one of the LRRN charities who will arrange a date and time for collection.
You can also make a donation at any time via the LRRN website.
Do I have to be at home for the collection?
Yes. As these items are to be re-used they will need to be kept inside the property or in a covered area for collection, and an adult will need to be present at the time of collection. If you cannot be at home, please ask the charity arranging your collection to explain any other options which may be available to you.
How many collections can I have and how often?
There’s no limit to how many collections you can have. Our partner charities will aim to collect your items within 14 days.
Who do I contact if I am unhappy with the service or the collection team?
You can make a complaint by emailing LRRN or writing to LRRN Complaints Department, 3 Jacknell Road, Hinckley LE10 3BS.
Who are LRRN and what do they do?
The LRRN is a consortia formed by three charities to increase and improve the collection of re-useable items. The charities are the Worklink Project in Hinckley; REACT in Coalville and SOFA in Loughborough.
The charities collect all over Leicestershire, including on waste and recycling sites. They also work with councils to collect, test and reuse waste electrical equipment.
More information is available on the LRRN website.
