Are your training courses Covid-19 secure?
Both the Town Hall and City Hall have undergone a risk assessment. Both buildings have a Covid Secure certificate. Both buildings have test and trace upon entry, hand sanitiser points on entry, regular and enhanced cleaning throughout the day, one way systems within the buildings and limited numbers allowed in toilets at any one time. All of the courses have also been risk assessed and seating has been arranged at 2m intervals to allow for social distancing. Moderations are in place to ensure all the practical work on First Aid Courses are carried out in a safe way to minimise cross infection. Full details will be sent with all joining instructions.
How soon do I have to enrol on a course before it's start date?
Most of our courses get fully booked pretty quickly so if you want to book a set date its best to book as soon as you can. Payment is now taken at the point of booking.
Course joining instructions
All course joining instructions will be sent via email and will not be sent through the post. Therefore, please make sure that when you fill out the course booking form you enter your current correct email. Any missing or incorrect emails may result in delays in receiving joining instructions.
What are the course start and finishing times?
All courses start at 9am and end between 4pm and 4.30pm, unless otherwise stated on your confirmation/enrolment letter.
Do I have to attend all days?
If the course is a 2 or 3 day course you must attend all of the days in order to cover all the syllabus and content required.
Where are the courses held?
Weekday courses are held at: Town Hall, Town Hall Square, LE1 9BG (Get directions to Town Hall)

When will I receive my enrolment details?
Once we have received a sufficient number of enrolments for the course, full course joining details will be sent to you.
What do I need to bring with me?
A course booklet will be provided, but it may help to bring a notepad and pen to make your own notes.
It is a requirement of some awarding bodies that candidates show photographic identification on the day of an exam. They can be in the form of work ID, passport, driving licence, student ID, or bus pass.
Can I re-sit a test?
In most cases you are allowed to re-sit the test if you failed the first time. If you need to re-sit a test, please note there will be an extra charge.
I want to cancel my enrolment or want to transfer to another course?
If you cancel more than 10 days before the course, no cancellation fee will be charged and a full refund made. If you wish to cancel or transfer to another course within 10 days of the course date, a 50% cancellation fee will be charged (plus the full cost of any re-booked course). If you fail to attend or cancel on the day of a course a 100 per cent cancellation fee will be charged.
What happens if I fail to attend a course?
If you fail to attend a course, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
Is food/drink available on the course?
Refreshments are not provided on any of our courses but you are welcome to bring your own water and drinks in a sealable travel bottle or flask
