English and Maths

We have courses for all levels of learning: from beginner readers and writers to those who want to go on to achieve qualifications up to Level 2.

We offer morning, afternoon and evening classes across the city. All our classes are taught by highly experienced and qualified teachers.  Most courses run twice-a-week for 17 weeks and combine short qualifications (Ascentis Awards) to develop your underpinning knowledge followed by Functional Skills qualifications. We also offer once-a-week courses with flexible start dates throughout the year.

We also offer Pre-Entry level maths and English for those adults who need to develop their basic skills before progressing on to other courses.

How to enrol

Before you join our courses, you will need to come and talk to one of our tutors. The tutor will talk to you and ask you to do some English and / or Maths activities to find out your level and give advice about the best class for you. Use the quick link 'How to enrol' on the page to enquire.
