Access to Higher Education

Looking for a fast-track to University? Look no further. Our Access to Higher Education programme, designed for mature people who missed the opportunity to go to University first time around, will help you to develop your knowledge and skills in different subjects through both theoretical and practical learning.

What’s more, apart from English at Level 2, you do not require any qualifications to join the programme. Level 2 Pre-Access courses are also available for those who need to acquire the English qualification prior to joining the Access course, as are taster courses in the vocational subject.

Student Finance England will write off any outstanding Advanced Learner Loan balances you owe, for an Access to Higher Education course once you complete a higher education course. This means you do not have to repay it. A further means tested advanced learning loan bursary is available to cover some childcare, course related materials and travel costs.
