What is equality?

Equality means having the right not to be discriminated against because of who you are or what makes you different from other people.

Diversity describes the range of people from different social and demographic backgrounds who live and work in the city. The city is proud of its diversity and celebrates it.

Human rights create a duty on the state to treat people fairly, with dignity and respect, no matter what their individual circumstances.
