Women Talking, City Listening
The lives of women in this country have changed so much since we got the vote just over 100 years ago.
What is Women Talking, City Listening?
Life is continuously improving for women but there is still much more that needs to be done.
We were excited to be part of a project in Leicester that concentrated on having meaningful conversations with women, to better understand the issues they face today.
Funded by central government, the Women Talking, City Listening Project has collated information from women across the city between 2019-2020. We will directly report to the city mayor and government the ways in which women can be better supported, as emphasised by you.
Women took part in lots of ways to share their thoughts – workshops, forums, fun days, surveys and much more. We also invited comments on our consultation hub.
We have now stopped collecting the thoughts of women in the city and are currently working to put all the information together in a research report. We are also creating a short video about the project.
Once complete we will update this page and other platforms so you can read, watch and learn more about what was done as part of the project.
