REMIT - mental health project

REMIT is a community - based education programme in Leicester for adults who experience severe and enduring mental health difficulties.

REMIT courses

With an emphasis on wellbeing, REMIT courses support recovery and promote wellbeing through purposeful engagement in stimulating, creative and thought-provoking learning. The programme runs throughout the academic year in-line with local school term time.

The REMIT programme is delivered at Leicester Adult Education College and at settings within the community. 

Sessions usually last for two hours.

Students often progress from REMIT onto courses in other Adult Learning curriculum areas.

Access to the REMIT programme is via referral by either a Mental Health Professional or GP. Courses are open to adults aged 19+ living in Leicester and Leicestershire.

What's new?

New for this year will be courses run at Bishopdale Road in Beaumont Leys and at The Belgrave Neighbourhood Centre.
