Aylestone Leisure Centre remains closed

Following government guidance this facility will continue to remain closed from 2 December, until further notice. Until we reopen fully, all Active Leicester members can use the facilities at Spence Street, Cossington and Braunstone which will reopen from 2 December.

The sports hall will remain closed as the leisure centre continues to support the City Reach testing programme. Badminton, table tennis and wider sports hall activities are available at Braunstone Leisure Centre, Evington Leisure Centre and Leicester Leys Leisure Centre.

Facilities

• Main sports hall consisting of six badminton courts and seating for 600 people. The area is regularly used for large weddings, exhibitions and a range of sporting activities
• 3G football pitch
• Ancillary sports hall for judo, keep-fit, gymnastics and birthday parties
• 25m main swimming pool and 18m teaching pool
• Gym with cardio and resistance machines and a large free weights area
• Newly refurbished dance studio
• Meeting room – Ideal for small seminars
• Aylestone library is also based within this leisure centre
