Pottery and creative glass
These courses will allow you to learn everything from the basics to advanced skills in pottery and creative glass, as well as different techniques from sculpting, moulding, glazing and throwing to create a range of different styles.
An ideal introduction for those wanting to get messy in the ceramics workshop! Familiarise yourself with the properties of clay and experiment with a range of techniques such as coiling, slabbing and pinching and a chance to throw on the wheel. You will then learn a range of decorative finishing techniques to create surface decoration to personalise your own pots.

On this two-day workshop, you will have a chance to try the exciting Japanese art of Raku pottery. On the first session, you will learn the techniques to make your items for firing, and in the second session, you will glaze and prepare them for firing. You will have hands-on experience of firing a Raku kiln.
