Emergency planning

We work with the police, NHS, fire service and other councils to ensure all the necessary plans are in place to deal with emergencies in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

This formal arrangement exists to make sure we are appropriately prepared to respond to any emergency incident which may have a significant impact on communities. If you run a business in the city centre, you can play your part by ensuring you have an evacuation and contingency plan in place to deal with an emergency. 

Where will details of an emergency be broadcast?

We will publish details of any emergency on our website, and our corporate Twitter and Facebook pages.
