Legal Leicester

Greyfriars is Leicester's historical legal quarter. Legal Leicester aims to find out more about the practice of law in the city.

Students from the University of Leicester, and members of Leicester's legal profession have been helping with research and have been interviewing people to capture their memories of working in the area. These memories have been collected together in the form of an audio trail, designed to teach people about the history of the Greyfriars area, and to provide an insight into the lives of those who worked in the legal profession.

We will also be engaging with young people by retelling the interesting stories that we expect to uncover through the community research project. A short film is currently being produced in association with a charity and will be shown as part of the Dave Comedy Festival in February.
