Traffic Regulation Orders

We implement Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) to change parking restrictions and moving traffic restrictions on roads within the city.

TROs currently in operation

Putney Road TRO

Amendment to the 2006 consolidation order to amend waiting, loading, and manoeuvre restrictions on roads affected by the Putney Road improvements.

Streets affected

Aylestone Road, Commercial Square, Freemens Common Road, Putney Road, Putney Road West, Saffron Lane.

We have made the following order:

Consolidation Order 2006, amendment, Welford Road to Putney Road - no right turn.

King Richard III School Area Order

Andrewes Close, Andrewes Street, Arundel Street, Catesby Street, Cherryleas Drive, Coventry Street, Dane Street, Daneshill Road, Fitzroy Street, Linkway Gardens, Musgrove Close, Norfolk Street, Stretton Road, West Holme Street.

London Road red route

London Road and parts of the Inner Ring Road Experimental Red Routes Order 2020 and London Road Pelican Crossings Modification 2020.

Belgrave Drive

On 16 January 2019, the Director of Planning, Development and Transportation approved a report authorising the introduction of no waiting at any time parking restrictions on Belvoir Drive at its junction with Aylestone Road under The Leicester (Belvoir Drive) (Experimental) Traffic Order 2019, which came into operation on 28 February 2019.

This experimental order has been in operation for more than 12 months and we have not received any objections to making this order permanent.

We have now decided to make these restrictions permanent with effect from Monday 6 July 2020.
